The Role
As LSKD’s Colour Specialist - based in our HQ in Loganholme QLD, you're the go-to for nailing perfect colour across every fabric and trim. In this Full-Time role you'll work with Design, Sourcing, and Production, you’ll bring seasonal palettes to life - making sure every hue hits the mark and holds up in the real world. From lab dips to print checks and fastness tests, your sharp eye keeps our colours bold, consistent, and on-brand. Your work helps fuel the performance, style, and vibe our community loves whilst upholding our brand integrity.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Lab Dip Management
Track and manage lab dips across all fabrics and trims for seasonal and core programs
Review submissions for colour accuracy (Pantone, swatches, CADs) and provide clear vendor feedback
Maintain lab dip records in PLM or internal systems
Colour Approval & Execution
Ensure colour consistency across substrates (fabrics, trims, prints)
Align with Design on visual intent and Raw Materials on technical feasibility
Review BPS/BTS submits for continuity and flag discrepancies early
Testing & Compliance
Coordinate fastness testing (wash, light, rub, etc.) to meet performance standards
Review third-party lab reports (e.g., SGS) and ensure compliance before bulk approval
Manage test failures and corrective actions with suppliers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Design, Development, and Sourcing on seasonal colour direction
Communicate expectations clearly with mills and vendors
Participate in handover and pre-production meetings to keep colour aligned
Documentation & Colour Library
Maintain an organized digital and physical colour library
Update internal systems with approved codes and references
Continuous Improvement
Monitor bulk colour issues, identify root causes, and improve first-time approvals
Support dual-sourcing by validating colour consistency across suppliers
Contribute to process improvements and SOP development
Essential Skills / Experience
1+ Year Experience in a Colour role
Familiar with textile compliance & sustainability
Foundational knowledge of textiles, including fabric construction, fibres, finishes, and performance properties
Understanding of colour testing and validation, colour Management
Willing to Travel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
